ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Madyn. I founded Marketing by Madyn LLC five years ago, but my journey with social media started way earlier. Growing up, my mom struggled with severe mental illness, and for much of my childhood, she was in and out of the hospital. Creating content was always my outlet.  I was that kid who, as soon as school was over, just wanted to make iMovies. 

 

My first “formal” social media experience was through starting a figure skating Instagram page in high school (that somehow blew up to 150,000 followers and got reposted by Olympians). Through that, I realized I had a skillset I could monetize, and started reaching out to companies for social media internships at 16.

 

If you’re looking for someone who’s paved their own way from nothing and has been creating opportunities on social media since they were literally 10 years old—that’s me.  And I would absolutely love to work with you.

 

Throughout my childhood, even when I felt like I had nothing else, I could make content. I remember begging for extra storage on my phone as a teenager so I could keep recording videos. I would film, delete, film, delete—because I was constantly running out of space from creating so much.

 

Even though what I do now isn’t traditional art, it’s absolutely creative. Helping my clients amplify their impact on social media is the way I love to express my creativity and my gifts. I truly believe my career is the universe’s gift to me after everything I’ve been through. It’s not something I’ll ever take for granted.

 

I love working with impact-driven personal brands who want social media to feel like an effortless extension of their mission. My goal is to make social media feel fun and exciting again—not overwhelming. I help you uncover exactly what lights you up, and figure out how to showcase that in your content so you can attract the clients/customers who are meant to find you.

 

It’s so important to have an outside perspective in your social media strategy. Even for myself, I know how easy it is to be so deep in the day-to-day of your work that you forget how to communicate it in a way your ideal client will connect with. My strength is taking your long-form content, big ideas, or even messy brain dumps and turning them into tangible pieces of content that you’re excited to share. 

 

Since I didn’t grow up surrounded by inspiring women, social media is where I found them. It gave me people to look up to when I had none. Now I get to work with female founders, thought leaders, and purpose-driven personal brands every day—and I know little me would be amazed.

 

Everything I went through happened for me, not to me, because it brought me here—to the most fulfilling career I could have imagined.
